BTS’ Busan concert for World Expo 2030 bid will be livestreamed on Weverse platform globally : Bollywood News

Pop titans BTS will be showcasing their World Expo 2030 Busan Korea concert – BTS in BUSAN (hereinafter ‘BTS in BUSAN’) – through the global fandom platform, Weverse. The global broadcast on ‘Weverse Live’ will capture the upcoming concert taking place at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on October 15.

As the official streaming platform for ‘BTS in BUSAN’, Weverse will be converging their technical skills and expertise for the live broadcast. Based on their capacity to hold large-scale traffic advanced by previously hosting numerous artists’ shows on the platform, Weverse plans to build a stable streaming environment that maximizes convenience for its audience.

Recently in July, Weverse let audiences from 220 countries/regions enjoy performances of BTS member j-hope and TOMORROW X TOGETHER from Lollapalooza streamed through Weverse Live. The live streaming was serviced to a large-scale audience for a total of 16.28 million fans in a stable viewing environment on the platform.

Furthermore, the translation support language has been expanded from the existing Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese to Spanish, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai for a total of 8 languages in effort to diversify its service for viewers worldwide.

Back in June 2022, it was announced that BTS, the newly appointed ambassadors for Busan’s World Expo 2030 bid, would hold the Global Busan Concert to support the nation’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan Metropolitan City. HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and CEO Park Jiwon, and Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Park Heong Joon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Busan Metropolitan City Hall to promote Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030. As part of the agreement, BTS as ambassadors will hold the Global Busan Concert in an effort to bring the World Expo 2030 to Busan.

The memorandum covers joint initiatives for Busan to succeed in its bid as the host. It includes BTS to: Act as the ambassadors; Holding Global Concert in Busan, activities to appeal to the members of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE); Personally introduce the proposed site for the BIE Enquiry Missions; Serve as the ambassadors at South Korea’s presentation session; Be present on the election day to support the bid; Provide photos and videos for the city’s digital campaigns, and; Spread promotional videos via official social media channels, and more.
